We can confirm at approximately 11am we were alerted of a fire in a neighboring unit on the industrial on London Road where our Head Office is located.

Our staff evacuated and contacted Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue who attended. Unfortunately the fire was extensive and has caused fire and water damage to multiple properties including the one we occupy.

We wish to thank our colleagues at Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue who worked tirelessly to control the blaze and remain on site.

We are also grateful to our staff who helped evacuate the buildings, managed to assist in saving cars, ambulances, removed all oxygen cylinders from our headquarters to prevent a more serious fire and provided medical support on scene.

MET Medical can confirm we have activated our comprehensive business continuity plans which cover incidents like these in order to minimise disruption to both our NHS and private patients. 

We are working closely with our NHS partners to ensure our ambulances continue to help reach the sickest patients. Our admin team is currently offline and will be back online tomorrow from an alternative location. 

We would like to thank everyone for their support and our thoughts are with all those affected.
