Budding entrepreneurs win £23k in cash prizes at flare 2016

A private ambulance service that provides specially trained medical staff for events such as festivals has scooped the top prize at the University of Hertfordshire’s annual business start-up awards, flare.

Paramedic Graduate, Dave Hawkins, won £8000 in the Best Growth Business category (sponsored by Santander Universities UK) for his company MET Medical.

The St Albans-based firm has a fleet of ambulances, paramedics and health care staff with 999 experience that Dave sends to festivals, film shoots and sporting events across the South-East region…
